MATH EXCEPTIONS by override (without Math Department Chair review):
- Students (except dual enrollment) whose Accuplacer score is within 5 points of next bracket/range may be overridden into the higher course (except for M 151 and M 171) by providing a transcript with 4 years of A and B high school math grades.
- Students (except dual enrollment) whose SAT score is within 5 points of next bracket/range may be overridden into the higher course (except for M 151 and M 171) by providing a transcript with 4 years of A and B high school math grades.
- Concurrent dual enrollment high school math students whose Accuplacer is within 5 points for M 121 or M 151 or STAT 216 placement may be overridden into the concurrent math course by providing a transcript with A or B grades in prior high school math courses and with the approval of the concurrent math instructor of the course.
- Students with Technical Math (M 111) or Business Math (M 108) can enroll in M 088 or M 090 without placement.
MATH EXCEPTIONS by override (requires Math Department Chair review):
- Dual enrolled, non-concurrent high school students whose Accuplacer score is within 5 points of next bracket/range may be overridden into the higher course by providing a transcript with A or B grades in prior high school math courses and with the approval of the math department chair.
- All other exceptions require Math Department Chair review.
NOTE: Students wanting into calculus are required to have taken a math that includes trigonometry. Otherwise, they should take M 151 Precalculus.
