What is the Accuplacer?

The Accuplacer is an assessment (test) that is administered by Great Falls College. We use the Accuplacer NG (Next Gen) assessment.

Preparing for the Accuplacer

We strongly recommend you prepare for the assessment before your test date. You can use the following resources to prepare:

1.     Use the Accuplacer page on the College Board site https://accuplacer.collegeboard.org for sample questions and practice tests in arithmetic, elementary algebra, college-level math, reading comprehension and sentence skills.

2.     Get the Accuplacer Study App. This free app is available for download and offers practice tests in arithmetic, elementary algebra, college-level math, reading comprehension and sentence skills.

3.     Use the resources at Kahn Academy  https://www.khanacademy.org/

4.     Use the free resources at Math Help https://www.mathhelp.com/

Pay for your assessment

  • The cost of the Math assessment is $10
  • The cost of the Writing & Reading Assessment (must take both) is $5
  • Pay at Student Accounts (in Student Central) accepts cash, check or credit/debit or pay at the Testing Center on the day of your test. The Testing Center accepts credit or debit.
  • By phone-call (406) 771-4315

Report to the Testing Center located in room R274 (at your scheduled date and time). You will need to bring:

  • A photo ID matching the name used to schedule the assessment
  • Personal items (cell phone, purse, etc.) are not permitted in the testing area; you may secure in the free lockers provided.

*if you paid in Student Accounts, you will need to bring your receipt for proof of payment
