Admissions Checklist

The Admissions checklist highlights the main tasks you should complete prior to taking classes. Required steps are indicated and must be completed in order for us to process your application in a timely manner. If you have any questions about these steps, feel free to contact us at 406.268.3700 or admissions@gfcmsu.edu.

Schedule a time to speak with one of our admissions representatives to explore our beautiful campus and state-of-the-art facilities.

  • Apply for Admission.
  • Complete your admissions file:
    • Provide proof of high school completion by submitting a high school transcript, high school diploma, GED or HiSET certificate or transcript, or an official college transcript.
    • Provide record of two MMR (measles/mumps/rubella) vaccinations.
    • Provide placement scores for math (required) and writing (encouraged) through ACT/SAT/Accuplacer/GED/HiSET.  Successful completion of previous college level math or writing credits may also satisfy this requirement (official transcripts must be provided.)

Send records to Admissions via fax (406) 771-2267, email at admissions@gfcmsu.edu, or in-person/mail to 2100 16th Ave. South, Great Falls, MT 59405.

After completing your admissions file, you will receive an email with a link to Online Orientation. You will need to complete the orientation modules prior to meeting with an academic advisor to register for classes.

After completing online orientation, you will receive a phone call from Admissions to schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor. We encourage this 45 minute appointment to be in person but you may choose a phone appointment. Your advising appointment will include a conversation about your academic goals, course selection, and instructions on how to register for classes.
