First-Year Student Checklist

 

 

The Admissions checklist highlights the main tasks you should complete prior to taking classes, not all  are required. Make sure to follow each step in order for us to have your application processed in a timely manner. Schedule a time to speak with one of our admissions representatives to explore our beautiful campus and state-of-the-art facilities.

These steps are REQUIRED.

Send records to admissions via fax at 406.771.2267, email at admissions@gfcmsu.edu, mail, or in-person.

  • Submit application.
  • Send copies of 2 separate MMR immunization records
  • Send high school transcript, GED test scores or HiSET results.
  • Show math and writing readiness. Must complete the Accuplacer Test, submit ACT/SAT scores, or have successfully passed college writing and math courses. The Accuplacer and ACT/SAT scores CANNOT be older than three years. Previous math and writing credits can be no older than 15 years.

This step is REQUIRED.

After completing the admissions process, you will receive an orientation email that shows you how to take advantage of our services and retrieve your student ID. There is a quiz that must be completed before you can meet with an advisor.

This step is REQUIRED.

After completing orientation, you will receive a call from the admissions office to setup an appointment with your advisor. They will help you enroll in classes.

To receive federal aid, complete the FAFSA Application. Our school code is: 009314.
